About ASTRA. Marmara Ltd Co. was established in 1985 and was the distributor of ASTRA Razor Blabes in Turkey for more than 20 years. In 1996 ASTRA Razor blades joined the Gillette Company family in line with the privatisations in the ''post-iron'' curtain countries. The merger of Procter & Gamble and the Gillette Company in 2005 made Astra Razor Blades one of the brands of Procter & Gamble. Currently Astra Razor Blades are manufactured at the Procter & Gamble plant in Russia
