MITCHELL’S WOOL FAT SOAP was created in the early 1930s by Fred Mitchell, a chemist from Bradford. Recognizing the skin-nourishing properties of lanolin found in wool fat and traditionally used by sheep shearers for soft hands, Mitchell crafted a simple and natural soap, ideal for delicate skin. Remaining true to Mitchell's original formula from the early 1900s, and in response to customer demand, additional products -including a shaving soap - have been developed from the original recipe. Mitchell’s products boast the use of premium ingredients, notably preservative-free wool fat of the highest quality, and are cruelty-free, never tested on animals.
