The history of the company dates back to pre-independence days, almost a century ago, when Sir Syed Muratib Ali Expanded his Agriculture Business into Trading and Industrial Partnerships. Soon after independence of Pakistan in 1947, the business activities were further diversified into Industrialized Operations of Soap, Edible Oil and Shaving Blade manufacturing sectors.

The Shaving Blade manufacturing operations started in 1954, with the brand name of Treet. Other blade ranges were subsequently added to the product mix.
Treet is regarded as one of the outstanding Pakistani companies, achieving its place as one of the best 25 quoted industries on the Karachi Stock Exchange. At the time of writing, it is the only shaving Blade & Razor manufacturing company in Pakistan.
