How to use

Pucks are approx 3" diameter.  If you have a bowl or mug that is a little smaller, you can just whittle a bit off around the edges and throw the shavings in the mug with your soap to make it fit. Alternatively melt slightly in a microwave-safe container and pour into your bowl or mug. (Of course you'll need to let it cool before use). Add a little water and rub the soap with the brush in a circular motion to 'load' the brush loft with soap. Then apply to the face in the same way to coat the skin and raise the bristles ready for shaving.

Grooming Tip

Even though you can get a REAL nice lather from this soap, here's what we like to do. Whip this stuff up into a THICK lather. Not fluffy. So when it is fluffy, keep whippin' a bit till it is really thick, almost paste like. Then apply to your whiskers (which hopefully you have already splashed with warm water). It should look sorta like stage makeup when applied to your face. Kinda like a danged mime. (I hate mimes.....but you gotta do what ya gotta do.) Then shave away - man, afterwards you have yourself one of those shaves where ya keep running your hand over your face cause you can't believe how smooth it is.

Ogallala Bay Rum, or rather Original Ogallala Bay Rum has its roots in the ole American West. From 1870-1885 Ogallala was the destination of countless cowboys driving cattle north from Texas to the railhead. It's a sure bet that as the boys hit town one of their first stops was a barbershop for a bath, shave and a haircut. After being splashed (quite generously) with the barber's own special mix of Bay Rum, he was ready to hit the saloon and talk to the young ladies who were anxious to sell him drinks...we'll leave it at that. The decades have taken their toll on dance hall girls and that great old fragrance - Bay Rum.
