    Great for girls too

I bought this after reading a recommendation to replace the terrible pink plastic razors aimed at women. I was concerned about trying it due to the large and awkward areas us women shave. I loved it and will never go back to plastic if I can avoid it. I also didn't receive the free blades advertised though, which was a little disappointing but I can't fault the actual product.

Long, heavy and simple Merkur's classical T-razor. Very friendly for beginners.

A good razor is as important as a good brush and this Merkur is absolutely outstanding.

I've only had this razor less than a week but it is a fantastic razor, my only gripe is that I didn't receive the blades advertised

Great double-edged razor for a convert from plastic disposables

I've used twin-blade Gillette Sensor 3 disposable razors for many years because I found they gave me a reasonable shave and weren't quite as overpriced as some of the "premium" cartridge shaving systems on offer. Having done a bit of internet research before choosing this razor, I expected to have a few cuts during the first few shaves as I got used to the heavier weight. However, it was far easier than I'd hoped and I've not cut myself once so far, after 3 shaves. I get a closer finish as well, though I'm taking a little longer to shave, probably because I'm taking it steady in these early days. The Merkur looks and feels much classier in use, with the chromed finish and extra, well-balanced weight. The price from Maguire's Barbershop was several pounds less than anywhere else I could find (as a seasoned online shopper), and with the cost of blades being so much less than disposable razors, I will have recouped the cost of the razor within a year.
