Product Overview
Parker Shaving Soap Bowl - Light Mango
Product
The Parker Shaving Soap Bowl is made out of mango wood with a light finish. Mango is a very eco-friendly material as the trees are felled after they cease to bear fruit and are immediately re-planted. Mango wood naturally resists moisture-related deterioration and this is further enhanced by the application of a varnish. The Parker bowls are lathe turned, although varnishing and polishing - which bring out the grain, is carried out by hand. It is a good handy size and will take any shaving soap which is upto 8cm diameter. Having a flat base, it provides a stable medium allowing you to steadily build a deep lather which can be used for a number of passes.
A great looking polished pot which sits well on any bathroom shelf.
(Supplied without soap)
How to use
Pop a soap tablet in the pot or alternatively mold a semi-soft soap into the inside of the pot. Take a wet (not soaking brush) and then work the soap. If it doesn't lather quickly simply add a 'touch' more water and keep working the soap. If there is not sufficient lather simply add a little more water. Remember that less is more with water! After use, lightly rinse the lather with lukewarm water and then allow to dry before replacing the lid.
Recommended for
All brush based soaps up to 8cm diameter.
Grooming tip
When mixing a soap or cream, first soak your brush to soften the loft. Then flick excess water off and start working the lather. Always add water gradually to avoid a 'weak' lather. It is easier to add more water than take it out!
