Excellent little razor. The head is a fairly standard Merkur and gives an effective if rather mild shave. The leather pouch is very neat and stores the two piece head, two section handle and a pack of 10 bades in a small, smart and light package. In terms of appearance the smooth handle does not quite match the style of the head, but since this is primarily a tool for travelling, not for show in the bathroom, that hardly matters. The head of my Razorock 37 German slant razor will fit on the Merkur handle and goes into the leather case. At the moment I am using the Bulldog handle from the Razorock on the Merkur head, which is a highly effective combination for everday use. A good purchase and less expensive here than from some on-line suppliers. Service was very quick (delivery two days on from the order). I would buy again.

Quality built, gentle razor. Very good for those days away from home and you don´t want to take your bulky sledgehammer with you. The leather case is very well designed.

Using the same head as the 34C means this razor is very comfortable and with it being a three piece means you get a full length razor in just a few seconds. The leather case it comes in feels a lot more luxurious than what I paid for the set.

Very compact and what I hoped for in terms of a wet shaver razor that would be easy to pack - it compared very well with my existing razor in that the shave was effective without being agressive. Easy to fit together and use. Very pleased.

HAVING PURCHASED A MERKUR FUTURA RAZOR A WHILE BACK, i FEEL THAT MERKUR ARE A VERY WELL MADE RAZOR AND VERY FASHIONABLE, I WANTED A TRAVEL RAZOR AND LOOKED VERY HARD TO FIND A LUXURY ONE,WHEN SAW THE 46C i WAS IMPRESSED WITH ITS LOOKS AND LEATHER CASE, THE DESCRIPTION SAID IT WAS 48 GRAMMS, WHEN MINE ARRIVED I WEIGHED IT ON THE KITCHEN SCALES SAID 46 GRAMMS,(ITS 82 GRAMMS INCLUDING THE CASE AND A BOX OF BLADES), IT IS AS USUAL WELL MADE AND WORKS VERY WELL,THE CASE IS 105MM HIGH 63MM WIDE AND 19MM DEEP WHEN CLOSED, AND FITS NICELY IN MY TOILETRY BAG TAKING UP HARDLY ANY SPACE, ITS A COMFORTABLE GRIP, AND EVEN WHEN WET DOES NOT SLIDE IN YOUR FINGERS, WELL DONE MERKUR!.

I purchased this item to replace my tiny Merkur 933 travel razor. As a lightweight camper, the 933 was the ultimate in size and weight I could find. Although the heads of both razors are identical the handle of the 933 was very small, however, and Merkur have addressed this problem with their newer 46C travel razor. The handle, still two piece, is larger and made of alloy is even slightly lighter than than the 933 handle; for me, still not quite large or heavy enough for everyday use, but as a travel razor where some sacrifice must be made, perfectly adequate. The soft leather case which, unlike the 933, has a compartment for spare blades is truly superb. I thoroughly recommend this razor to any 'weight conscious' traveller. Well done Merkur.
