Musgo Real products have been hand crafted in Portugal since the 1930s. Lightly scented with the much loved Classic Scent fragrance, the Musgo Real Shaving Soap is made with a 100% vegetable base and enriched with glycerin and coconut extract to create a smooth and creamy foam for shaving. It produces a rich and luxurious lather that effectively softens the hairs allowing for smoother and easier razor glide whilst helping to minimize the risk of inflamation and redness.

How to use

Simply work the top of the soap with a wet (not soaking) shaving brush until the bristles are 'loaded' with shaving soap. Now apply the soap to the areas to be shaved, using  the shaving brush in a strong circular motion. This softens the bristles and also raises them ready for shaving.

Grooming tip

Whilst taking a shower, soak your shaving brush in hot water. When you are finished your shower, both your stubble and brush will be ready for a shave!

Musgo Real The Claus Porto story goes back to the year 1887, when two German partners, Ferdinand Claus and Georges Ph. Schweder, started the production of fine soaps for gentlemen. When they left the country in 1918, their Portuguese partner Achilles de Brito took over the name of ‘Claus Porto’ together with the production workshops. Claus Porto toilet soaps are distinguished by their particularly pleasing scent and performance on the skin – due to the natural essential oils used in their production. Each bar is shaped with the maker’s name and mark, with the motifs going back to the 1920s. The trade name Musgo Real first appeared in the mid 30s and includes a range of soaps and shaving creams that are crafted from high quality ingredients and contain no synthetic aromas, perfumes or preservatives.
